What do you need to get into Purdue Global nursing?

For the RN-to-BSN the core requirement is an active registered nurse licence together with prior nursing study, and there is no cost to apply. Starts are monthly rather than semester-based, so the practical constraint is usually paperwork timing rather than an admissions cycle.

Monthly starts change how you should plan

Most universities create a queue: apply, wait for a semester, begin. Purdue Global runs monthly intakes, which removes the wait and introduces a different problem. The decision can be made far too quickly, because nothing external forces you to think it through.

Treat the absence of a deadline as a reason to slow down. The things worth settling before you enrol take longer than the admission does.

What actually takes time

  • Transcripts from every institution, including ones you did not finish. This is the usual bottleneck.
  • Licence verification, which is straightforward but is still a step.
  • The prior-learning assessment. Not strictly part of admission, but it decides your cost and your timeline, and doing it after enrolment is doing it too late.
  • Compliance requirements where a programme carries a clinical component.

The question almost nobody asks

Which route you are being admitted to. RN-to-BSN and RN-to-MSN are different lengths and different money, and being quoted one while assuming the other is a common and expensive confusion. Get the route named in writing.

And one about the trial

If you are a first-time undergraduate, admission comes with a three-week window in which you owe nothing. If you have attended before, it does not. Establish which of those you are before building any plan around it.

Is there an application fee at Purdue Global?

No. There is no cost to apply.

When can I start?

Starts are monthly, so there is nearly always an intake within a few weeks.

Do I need an active RN licence?

For the RN-to-BSN, yes. An active registered nurse licence is the core requirement.
